編集長のDavid Parsleyは前 Sunday Express business editor。Managing Directorの Lawson Muncasterは，かつての vice-president of global sales at Metro International。またCEOに就いたJens TorpeもMetro もInternationalの出身。
競合紙は，Financial Times が4月からロンドンで発行しているフリーペーパーFTpmである（FTpmのPDF版はこちらで見ることができる）。まっとうな経済紙までもタダの時代なのか・・。
