ついに出てきた「GoogleがNYタイムズを買収」とのうわさ話。
今朝に目にした二つの記事。一つ目はFotuneの“Who will control the New York Times?”。もう一つはAll Things Digital/MediaMemo（WSJ Digital Network）の“Google Talking to New York Times, Washington Post About… Something”。
最近，Googleのトップ（Eric Schmidt）が，New York TimesやWashington Postのトップや発行人と，それぞれ会合をもったらしい。内容は定かではないが，協力というか，新聞救済を話し合ったようだ。
最近，Hollywoodの大物HollywoodがNYT社の株17%購入を提案したが、成立しなかった。これとは別に，Timesと関係の深いScott Galloway（a Web entrepreneur and New York University Business School professor ）がTimesを買わないかとGoogleに打診したとか。そのときはGoogleも真剣に検討したが，パスしたとのこと。
